That tank's full of Val. spiralis, and a bit of dwarf sag. I'll update the photo of it in the Tank thread so you can see what I mean.

I think I saw them at Meijer dude... and there weren't ridiculous amounts of snail in there. I'm probably going to pick some up.

How long have you had these for? there's no evidence of digging...

They're brand new - but, there are a lot of shells in the tank, there's not exactly much substrate access. I doubt there'll be a ton of digging.

There's a multi that I got on accident, it was supposed to be a caudo.  I dunno why, but I'm really attached to this little fish.

Heh heh, are you confused about where I got these fish from?  If so, Sandman had the same question.  I was at home for a little last week cause it was my spring break, and I went to the lfs there (ypsilanti).

Oh, phew...

By the way, LM, I think that they may indeed dig. I introduced a female from a trade to the two males in my large tank, and despite the fact that I have shells on shells, they still dig. I have no idea how or why, but they do.

Is accurate to say that multies are the most likely to breed out of all shellies under the right conditions?

YES. Very easy. They'll even breed when you think they should be worrying about baisic survival.

I'd watch out for shells that lack round openings. Some people keep these sorts of closed shells in their tanks but, well, lots of people drive without their seatbelts. Large conch shells (ie with cave-sized openings) are fine, and with any iffy shell used decoratively you can flip opening-down to help the fish avoid potential problems.

I presume you're talking about the ones with just narrow slits for openings?

Yah, those aren't favorable, but of course I have them.. I wouldn't add those. Conch shells work well though.
