Thanksgiving break is fast approaching (YAY), and I gotta figure out what to do with my fish. I'll be away from the dorm for 8 days. Can they go without food for that long? What about the fry? I fasted my sparkling gouramis and betta last year with no ill effects, but I worry about the multies.

If they can't fast for eight days, I have a couple of options. My roomie is staying longer than I am. She could feed them up until she leaves. Then they'd only fast for 5 days.

Or, if all else fails, I can bring them home with me and they'd stay there. I wouldn't worry about transporting them home for Christmas break. Only problem would be me not having my multies at school for 3 weeks between breaks, which is very sad indeed. But I'm transferring schools after this semester, so they're going to come home at some point.

They will be fine without food for a week. Xenos on the other hand.. in addition to the stupid penguin 200 that restarted on me while i was away for a week that never got back up. I lost 90% of my xenos.. But multies are hardy. They were fine when I went away for about a week.
