hello this is my first time on this forum so first post

i bought 5 wc similis with ?fry? alltogether in a bucket
the 30 Escargot shells that they came with were covered with black beard algae i didn't want this in my tank so i removed the 3 female and 2 males to there 3 ft tank that i had set up and running,

the shells i left in a 4 ft 1/4 filled with a heater and a air filter ?
only because i was told that they had fry but i have not seen them!
am i wasting my time with them will they live ?
are they ment to be with there perents?

adult similis have no shells just some Barnicals
were do i buy more Escargot shells ? live in aus who sends ?

just like to say thank you in advanced

welcome to shelldwellers!

I've never had similis, but I have a bunch of multies, and a couple times when I've tried to move a colony to another tank, I've neglected to move some fry that hide in the gravel... they grew up and were easier to catch in a month or more!  Without predators in the tank, they should do fine!
