Meleagris fry
«

I noticed that two of the six fry I got from Alleycat always seem to hang out together. The other four are all over the place, but these two will only split up once in awhile and then one or the other will follow until they're together again.
Is it possible they're forming a pair already? It's hard to see any major difference in their face profile to figure out the sexes yet but...

when you say fry, I wonder how old... maybe 1 - 2 months? moving fish can inspire good things...sometimes in a tank w/out any threats, and w/out the parents, young fish will start acting more mature for their age... maybe?
I recently bought 6 slightly older fish that might've been 3 months old and they spawned w/in 2 weeks or so of being put in their own tank.
Keep watching and keep us posted!

I'm sure Alleycat told me how old they are but lately my CRS (can't remember ....) has been kickin' in. I'm sure he'll fill me in as soon as he sees the post and we can figure out if it's possible

Mark, the ones you have were born November 5th. The batch that Qaddiction has were born on Oct. 25th and are doing the same as yours. He put his 6 in a 125g with 3 groups of shells in the tank. So far 1 distinct couple of fish have taken ownership of one group. The other 4 are cruising between the other two piles of shells.
