dont those little piranhas like occies attack ur nice pleco ?

thats great than...and u use fine sand surface too?

maybe pleco make the poo float when passing by it and ur filter sucks it up...but if it just lies in the middle of tank? humm dunno..

that may be the case, but then again my filters move some of the sand/gravel so im guessing that helps aswell..

maybe get a stronger filter?

I have been cleaning like Multies, during my weekly water change. And then use that water on plants.

When Im not being lazy I vaccum the sand every week when I do my water change. It usually only needs a light going over.

I'm pretty sure my MTSnails do most of the clean up.  They live in the sand and are waiting for something to sneak up to the surface to eat.

When I do partial water changes, I do a hand sweep to stir things up.

I use black or dark gray sand in most of my tanks....to me it doesn't look as "dirty" as lighter sand.
