I was playing games lol I saw someone msged me on shelldwellers though Your pair looks more snug then mine lol. Mine are less "husband and wife" Are those their fry? They look like Malawi's. Some sort of pseudotropheus. Where'd you get your sand? I've been looking for really find white sand without paying $30 for a bag..

help me out here Multies and Petro, are you both showing the same kind of fish? ...both Telmatochromis, but one dhonti and the other temporalis? boy, they sure look different!
Stunning gold on the one dhonti (male?) and nice looking big head on the temporalis! thanks a lot for posting pics.......maybe these could be put in the species photo forum, because I think we're missing these guys there!

The yellow one is the female, the duller one is the male. Darkside(a member here) told me on the weekend that his temporalis male colours up when their in the mood to have some fry so maybe he'll colour up when they spawn. I should have labeled them sorry

So .. if the female is colored up, and the male isn't, it's less likely they're ready to spawn? My male seems to always dull compared to her. Even after a big ole W/C and some live white or black worms he's not showing his stuff. If he is, it's when I leave the room. Perhaps I need to look for a better male?

Nope, they're not. I've had them for a few months now. They were in a 20L, but then I moved them into a 30L on their own. I'll give them until March, then move them into a bigger tank with a few tank mates that can handle themselves. My Temporalis spawned in a 20H and they did great. Maybe I should try them in a smaller tank. Text away Sean. No one's at home that can get you in trouble, can they?
