Hi , I only just found out abaout this fish, very limited information though, I was wondering if anyone here has them or has had them, would 1 single species be ok in a 95ltr (80x30x40), at the moment I have 6 Multifasciatus and 1 Julidochromis Dickfeldi in there, I am aware that the Goby is a bottom dweller as are the Multis, would this be "problematic"?
Any correspondence on this greatly appreciated

I had a wild caught pair or Eretmodus cyanostictus from Moba that the male ended up killing the female.  He is in a 55 gallon with 2 lepidiolamprologus hecqui, 3 Julidochromis marlieri gombe, about 15 Cyprichromis leptosoma Utinta, and 6 Synodontis petricola.  Lots of water changes, but other than killing his mate, he has shown no aggression.

This is what mine resembles the most.

I am sure there are lots of other resources out there.  This is not the most popular fish, but mine has plenty of personality.  I keep rocks stacked up almost to the top of the tank, and have a hang on back canister filter that puts out some good current pointed at the top, and he sits there on the rocks facing the current all the time.

Can anyone tell me what 95 liters are in gallons, I am too lazy to figure it out on my own.

For only 95 liters, I would definitely recommend having a decent rockpile in one corner for the dickfeldi and one that goes almost to the top with the cyanostictus, if you can.  They would leave your multies alone for the most part with a nice rockpile to play in.  They pick off fry if they can, even though they are algae eaters.  When I had multies in with them, they were a little more contentious than they are with the hecqui, but not much, and not overly aggressive.

The pair I got from the local GCAS auction in Cincinnati, and they cost $30.  A relatively local guy in Kentucky gets all kinds of great imports.  I recently bought a proven pair of wild caught ornatipinnis for $30 from another club member who got them from the importer.  Beautiful fish.  I don't have a camera that can do them justice or I would post.

Thank you for your responses, I have to admit I am very tempted , it does look a very attractive fish, will definately dacide by mid march (a while away), also tempted with 1 Black Calvus , again if my tank was bigger thn there would be no issue, I will only have the one tank (95ltr) think thats 20gall or 25 U.S. gall, I have an oversized external filter, do you think this is workable or just to cramped?

Yeah, I personally think that tank might be a little to small for the Erets with the current residents. Especially if u added the calvus. I guess with proper aquascaping and no calvus u might be able to do it.

I have gave it a lot of thought, I nearly bought a smaller tank which was going to be just for the Multis, I have rescaped my tank, huge rockpile about a third of the tank sloping up all the way to the top at the back, used ocean rock/holy rock and I hollowed out some Tufa to make caves , it looks good, ordered 2 more MUltis (all the shells are at the opposite side of the tank, have ordered 3 Julidochromis Dickfeldi, if and when they pair up I will rehome any remainder, will see what happens with the Multis as no breeding just yet, put in some pieces of slate vertically at the back of the tank, it adds depth but acts as dividers. pics. soon Smiley
