I have 2 males and 3 female brevis in a 20gal long and they are my pickiest eaters. I try small NLS and they take it or leave it, I tried frozen brine shrimp..spit it out, Cichlid Flakes ( Omega ) so - so - Cichlid Crumbles..not interested, Spirulina Flake - again so so --- does anyone know of a sure fire Brevis favorite food ?

Sometimes I get new fish and they don't eat well for a few days... if I over feed, they eat when I'm not looking due to their shy nature.  You might want to try skipping a day.  Those all sound like good food for brevis to me.

My brevis go crazy for Golden Pearls and decapsulated brine shrimp eggs.

i kind of had the same thing going on with the julies i got from fish head but i starved them for a day and a half and they were more then happy to gobble up some food
