Spring Auction Fun
« on: April 30, 2017, 06:16:38 PM »
Hey, all. Went to the club's Spring auction today. Have been planning to give my own hand to a mixed multi and Juli tank. I have the multis. Been looking for the right Julidochromis for my mix. Thought I was going to go with J ornatus, but I bid on some J transcriptus and...
here's some pics of them in a holding tank...

Good times. Pics aren't the greatest and were taken just after I put them in the tank. Plan is to merge them with multis and test my skills. Love this hobby and wish I'd caught the Tanganyikan bug earlier. But, hey, life can only take you to places you are ready to be.

Will try to get a pic....

Spotted my first J. transcriptus fry moments ago. 7-8mm without exaggeration. So I guess it has been in there and hiding for awhile. Very exciting. :D

First pic is the parents. Second is the fry. If anyone needs tips on how to grow hair algae, let me know. :)
